Bed Bath & Beyond to Open First Hawaii Store
February 05, 2010
Union, N.J.-based Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. plans to open its first Hawaii store later this year at the Pearlridge Center, according to The Honolulu Advertiser. The retailer reportedly signed a lease for a 65,000-sq.-ft. space formerly occupied by Circuit City. The Hawaii store, which is expected to open late this summer, would mark Bed Bath & Beyond's presence in all 50 states. Currently, the company operates more than 1,000 stores in 49 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. "This is really exciting for us," said company spokeswoman Catherine Gentile. "We are always looking to open great new stores...and we didn't have any in Hawaii."
