Hibbett Sports Announces New CEO

Birmingham, Ala.-based sporting goods retailer Hibbett Sports Inc. announced that Mickey Newsome, the company's chairman and CEO, will become executive chairman of the company. Jeffry O. Rosenthal, the company's president and COO, has been promoted to president and CEO. Hibbett Sports operates sporting goods stores in the Southeast, Southwest, Mid-Atlantic and the lower-Midwest regions of the United States.
