Strategies in Light Conference Awards Next Generation Luminaires

The Santa Clara, Calif.-based Strategies of Light Conference announced 47 winners of the second annual Next Generation Luminaires awards. Out of a total of 126 entries, 43 were recognized, in addition to four lighting companies chosen as “best in class.” Best in class winners were Finelite, Spilighting, GE Lighting Solutions and Wide-Lite. Recognized winners came from several areas, including accent lighting for ambience, indoor and outdoor specialty lighting, recessed downlights, industrial lighting, street and roadway lighting, outdoor area lighting, and cove lighting. The conference is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and the International Association of Lighting Designers.
