Fresh & Easy to Open 17 New Stores

El Segundo, Calif.-based Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market Inc. announced plans to open 17 new locations throughout Sacramento, Calif., in 2009. The stores will open in the following areas: Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Fair Oaks, Folsom, Galt, Lincoln, Rancho Cordova and Rocklin. According to the company, each store will employ approximately 20 to 30 workers. Fresh & Easy is a division of London-based Tesco PLC, and has opened 55 stores throughout Southern California, Las Vegas and Phoenix. View the complete story here.
