Hyatt Place Opens in Baton Rouge, La.

Chicago-based Global Hyatt Corp. announced the opening of a Hyatt Place hotel located in Baton Rouge, La., at 6080 Bluebonnet Blvd., adjacent to the Mall of Louisiana. The 126-room hotel features complimentary wireless Internet, 8-ft. sofa-sleepers, ergonomic chairs, flatscreen and high-definition televisions with DirectTV Sports service, self-registration kiosks, a coffee and wine cafe, bakery, a television den, continental breakfast and a 24-hour guest kitchen. Hyatt Place hotels are currently located in: Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, D.C. According to Global Hyatt, it plans to open additional Hyatt Place properties in Dallas; Detroit; and Miami, Tampa and Orlando Fla. Currently, there are 120 Hyatt Place hotels throughout the United States. Global Hyatt Corp. operates 700 properties in 40 countries.
