2012 World Retail Awards Winners Announced

The winners of the 2012 World Retail Awards were announced at a ceremony held at the Royal Courts Justice in London. The “Retailer of the Year” award was presented to Costco, and the “International Retailer of the Year” was awarded to IKEA. Additional winners included: Marks & Spencer, “Responsible Retailer of the Year;” Woolsworths South Africa, “Responsible Retailer of the Year;” Fangsuo Commune, “Store Design of the Year;” and Macy’s, “Multichannel Retailer of the Year.” This year’s judges included Ian Cheshire, CEO of Kingfisher; Bijou Kurien, CEO of Reliance Retail; Mindy Grossman, CEO of HSN; Andrew Jennings, CEO of Karstadt; and Renuka Jagtiani, CEO of Landmark Retail.
