American Rag to Open New York Flagship

Los Angeles-based American Rag is looking to open a New York flagship, according to www.wwd.com. Aiming to open the store by spring 2013, the retailer is considering spaces ranging from 3,000 sq. ft. to 17,000 sq. ft. Currently, American Rag operates stores in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, Calif., and licenses its name to Macy’s, which carries the brand in more than 700 stores.
