Bottom Dollar to Open 14 New Stores

Bottom Dollar, a division of Salisbury, N.C.-based Delhaize America, will open 14 new stores in the greater Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio, markets by Feb. 9, according to www.progressivegrocer.com. The first seven stores are slated to open on Jan. 26, and the remaining seven stores will open on Feb. 9. The discount grocer's first Pennsylvania store opened on Oct. 8, 2010, and the banner now operates 29 stores in the greater Philadelphia market—24 locations in Pennsylvania and five in New Jersey. After the 14 store openings in January and February, Bottom Dollar will operate 43 stores in three states.
