Cabela’s to Open Michigan, Alaska Stores

Sidney, Neb.-based Cabela’s Inc. plans to open stores in Saginaw, Mich., and Anchorage, Alaska. The company expects to open the 43,000-sq.-ft. Saginaw store in spring 2013. It will be Cabela’s third retail store in Michigan. The 100,000-sq.-ft. Anchorage location is scheduled to open in spring 2014, marking Cabela’s first store in Alaska. The retailer also has announced plans to open six additional stores in 2013 in Columbus, Ohio; Grandville, Mich.; Louisville, Ky.; Thornton, Colo.; Lone Tree, Colo.; and Green Bay, Wis. Currently, the company operates 37 stores across the United States and Canada.
