Chanel to Expand Historic Paris Location

Chanel plans to expand its Paris boutique located on the Rue Cambon, according to www.wwd.com. The company recently announced that it has purchased a building at 19 Rue Cambon on the corner of Rue Saint-Honoré, which will be used to reconfigure the historic retail space. During construction, which is slated to begin in early 2014 and be completed by 2016, Chanel plans to open two temporary boutiques. Opening March 4, the interim stores will be located on Rue Saint-Honoré in units previously occupied by minaPoe and Carlos Miele. One of the temporary shops will be dedicated to accessories and shoes, and the other will house makeup and perfumes.
