Claire’s Debuts in Venezuela, Panama

Chicago-based teen jewelry and accessories retailer Claire's Stores Inc. has opened its first-ever stores in Venezuela and Panama. The Venezuelan store, which opened Oct. 12, is located in the Sambil Paraguna Mall in Punto Fijo. The Panamanian store opened Oct. 27 and is located in the Metro Mall in the city of Panama. The openings are part of an agreement with Panama-based Grupo David Enterprises as the single franchisee across 16 countries in Latin America. Over time, Claire’s and Grupo David Enterprises expect these countries to present at least a 100-store market opportunity. Currently, Claire’s operates stores in 36 countries.
