Cold Stone Creamery Expands into Nigeria

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Cold Stone Creamery plans to open nine stores in Nigeria in the next five years. Part of the company’s plans for in Africa, Cold Stone Creamery's parent company Kahala signed a 10-year master franchise agreement with Ivybridge Trading Ltd. The restaurant will be the first national ice cream chain and the first customizable ice cream concept in the country. Currently, Cold Stone Creamery operates in more than 1,500 locations across 20 different countries, including China, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Denmark, South Korea and Denmark.
