Fastest Growing Retailers Announced

STORES Magazine recently published its annual Hot 100 Retailers list. The list, compiled by Kantar Retail, is comprised of retail companies that reported the greatest increase in domestic sales between 2010 and 2011. Topping the list this year is Sprouts Farmers Market, which saw nearly 72 percent year-over-year sales growth in 2011. The company operates a total of 109 establishments, and also has plans to merge with Sunflower Markets in 2012. No. 2 Verizon Wireless’ sales grew 69 percent. Hot 100 newcomers included Michael Kors Holdings (No. 3), Lululemon Athletica (No. 4) and Under Armour (No. 5). Michael Kors’ U.S. sales grew 65 percent, Lululemon’s grew 65 percent and Under Armour’s grew 63 percent in 2011.
