Former Bloomingdale’s CEO Marvin S. Traub Dies at 87

Former Blooingdale’s CEO Marvin S. Traub died in Manhattan on July 11, according to The New York Times. He was 87. As the CEO of Bloomingdale’s in the 1970s and ’80s, Traub was credited with the department store’s transformation, introducing high-fashion designers and chic interior design. He also founded his own consulting firm, Marvin Traub Associaties, in 1992. Marvin Stuart Traub was born in Manhattan on April 14, 1925, and was the only child of Sam and Bea Traub.
