Giant Food to Convert Genuardis Stores

Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant Food, a subsidiary of international supermarket operator Ahold, has begun converting 15 former Genuardis stores. The announcement follows approval of Giant Food’s plan to acquire 15 greater Philadelphia-area Genuardi's stores from Safeway. The store conversions will be complete by July 22.
