Stockholm-based H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) has ramped up the pace of its expansion, planning to open 350 new stores in 2013. Previously, the company said it would open 325 stores this year. New markets in 2013 will include Chile, Estonia, Lithuania, Serbia and Indonesia. The retailer also plans to debut in Australia and launch an extended sports concept in 2014. The H&M Group has more than 2,800 stores in 48 markets, including franchise markets. In addition to H&M, the group includes the brands COS, Monki, Weekday and Cheap Monday, & Other Stories and H&M Home.
