Harris Teeter to Unveil New Concept Store

Matthews, N.C.-based Harris Teeter Inc. is renovating two locations into a new concept called 201central. The new format is branded in reference to one of the original Harris Food Stores, Store #201, on Central Avenue in Charlotte, N.C. 201central stores will offer specialty services, including in-store wine consultants, event coordination and catering, party rentals, and educational classes focused on wine, beer and food pairings. The stores will carry more than 3,100 varieties of wine and more than 680 varieties of beer from around the world. Averaging approximately 30,000 sq. ft., the first 201central stores will be located at 13108 Eastfield Rd. in Huntersville, N.C., and 5939 Weddington-Monroe Rd. in Wesley Chapel, N.C.
