Holt Renfrew to Debut New Concept
October 29, 2012
Toronto-based Holt Renfrew will launch a lower-priced alternative to its luxury stores in March 2013, according to www.wwd.com. The concept, called hr2, will debut with a 30,000-sq.-ft. store in Montreal’s Quartier DIX30 shopping center. Another location is planned for Ontario, Canada, in early 2013. The stores will not carry any of the same merchandise sold at Holt Renfrew stores, although the new division will be stocked with lower-price or secondary labels from many of the same designers and brands. The company also previously announced that it would expand its Holt Renfrew square footage by 40 percent by the end of 2015, by enlarging, renovating or relocating existing stores.
