The International Builders Show (IBS) and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) will come together in 2014 to launch Design and Construction Week. Scheduled to debut in February 2014, the new mega-event will encompass both IBS and KBIS, including separate conference programs, but attendees will be able to access both shows with one ticket. The new event is expected to draw a total of 2,000 companies and 75,000 attendees. Barry Rutenberg, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and John Morgan, president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), announced the new three-year contract agreement at IBS in Las Vegas. A separate announcement about Design and Construction Week will be made at KBIS, which will take place April 19-21 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
