IKEA Announces New Canada Location

Deft, Netherlands-based IKEA will open a store in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Located at Kenaston Boulevard and Sterling Lyon Parkway, the 395,671-sq.-ft. store will feature 55 inspirational room settings, two full homes, more than 650 seats in the restaurant, 40 cash lanes and a 2,228-sq.-ft. children’s play area. It is slated to open Nov. 28. Currently, IKEA operates 325 stores in 40 countries worldwide, including 11 stores in Canada.
