JCPenney to Debut Joe Fresh Branded Shops

Plano, Texas-based J.C. Penney Co. Inc. will open Joe Fresh branded shops in nearly 700 of its stores next year. Rolling out in April 2013, the shops, designed by the Joe Fresh team, will range from approximately 1,000 sq. ft. to 2,500 sq. ft., and will debut with women’s apparel. The partnership will provide Toronto-based Joe Fresh with significant expanded U.S. exposure, complementing its standalone stores. Currently, the retailer, a division of Loblaw Cos. Ltd., operates six stores in the New York area. Its JCPenney in-store shops will have the same clean, simple design consistent with existing Joe Fresh standalone locations, including the brand’s signature orange logo and colorful campaign imagery.
