July 03, 2012
French fashion house Louis Vuitton has opened its first-ever, freestanding store dedicated to jewelry, according to www.wwd.com. American architect Peter Marino designed the new 1,6000-sq.-ft. store, located on the Place Vendôme in Paris. The space features two VIP areas, a watch showcase lined in eel skin and a naturally lit attic atelier. The company also is building a 38,000-sq.-ft. center for its watchmaking activities in Geneva, which it plans to open in July 2013.
