Macy’s, Shopkick Announce National Rollout

Cincinatti-based Macy’s Inc. and Palto Alto, Calif.-based shopkick have launched a full, national rollout of the location-based application. Macy’s activated the “shopkick Signal” via Concord, Ontario, Canada-based Mood Media Corp.’s audio system. Now, customers can earn rewards, or “kicks,” at more than 800 Macy’s stores nationwide. The national expansion brings shopkick from five regions during Macy’s initial launch in 2010 to the full footprint of more than 800 locations, adding more than 50 new markets to the program. The launch also marks shopkick’s third retail partner to go national in the past two months.
