Westbrook, Maine-based Olympia Sports recently opened its 200th location, and plans to continue expansion. The retailer expects to open 25 stores during its current fiscal year, including its first store in West Virginia. Currently, Olympia operates 207 stores, the majority of which are located in Northeastern markets, including 29 stores in Maine and 61 stores in Massachusetts. Most recently, the company expanded into Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. The company expects to end its current fiscal year on September 30 with a total of 216 stores, following the addition of 25 new stores and the closing of four underperforming locations. The grocer also said it expects similar growth in fiscal 2013.
