New York-based outerwear retailer Schott NYC will open a new store in New York. The retailer, which is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary, has signed a long-term lease at 236 Elizabeth St. Schott last operated a store in New York in the 1940s. The new retail store comes after a successful pop-up store on Mercer Street last fall. Architect Gregory Okshteyn, with Sudios Go Inc., will design the new 1,800-sq.-ft. space. The store, which is expected to open in early October, will carry Schott NYC's classic jackets, such the iconic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, designed by Irving Schott in 1928.
