Sleep Number Remodels, Opens New Stores

Sleep Number, a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Select Comfort Corp., has opened six new stores. The new stores are located across several markets, including Atlanta; Douglasville, Ga.; Omaha, Neb.; Plainfield, N.J.; Richmond Heights, Mo.; and Wausau, Wis. The company also has remodeled or expanded seven stores in Beavercreek, Ohio; Center Valley, Pa.; Corona, Calif.; Mentor, Ohio; Mission Viejo, Calif.; Redondo Beach, Calif.; and Winston-Salem, N.C. Additionally, Sleep Number relocated its first-ever retail store, which opened in Roseville, Minn., in 1992. The relocation transformed the original retail store from a 900-sq.-ft. mall location to a 4,900-sq.-ft. store located near the mall. Currently, Sleep Number operates 400 stores.
