March 11, 2013
Minneapolis-based Target Corp. announced that it will close its “Shops at Target” concept for now, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The shops have featured select independent boutique retailers, including The Candy Store of San Francisco, Miami-based The Webster, men’s apparel retailer Odin and The Curiosity Shoppe. Target said that it may revive the concept at a later date, but for now, the company wants to focus on other partnerships with designers, such as Missoni and Prabal Gurung.
