Industry, Calif.-based plus-size fashion retailer Torrid plans to open 20 stores by the end of the year. The chain began expanding earlier this year, having already opened 20 stores in malls and strip centers. The retailer also has unveiled a comprehensive rebrand that reflects its new sexy, fashion-forward point of view, and includes new apparel collections, branding elements and marketing campaigns. Launched in 2001, Torrid now operates 176 stores.
