Monrovia, Calif.-based Trader Joe's opened its first-ever Texas stores in Fort Worth and The Woodlands. The Fort Worth store is located at 2701 S. Hulen St., and is approximately 12,500 sq. ft. The Woodlands store is located at 10868 Kuykendahl Rd., and is approximately 13,500 sq. ft. The store interiors feature festive décor, mixing traditional Trader Joe's cedar-covered walls, Hawaii-inspired elements and local artwork. Four additional stores are scheduled to open in Plano, Houston and San Antonio by the end of 2012; one store is scheduled to open in Dallas in 2013; and two stores will open in Austin and Dallas in 2014. Currently, Trader Joe's operates more than 370 stores in 33 states.
