UNIQLO Continues U.S. Mall Expansion

UNIQLO Co. Ltd., a division of Japan-based Fast Retailing Co. Ltd., will open a location in Westfield Garden State Plaza shopping center in Paramus, N.J. Slated to open on Sept. 28, the new bi-level, 43,000-sq.-ft. store will feature a separate dedicated entrance and a prominent façade. It will serve as the prototype for UNIQLO’s mall expansion strategy. This will be the company’s fourth U.S. retail location with their fifth U.S. store scheduled to open this fall in San Francisco. Beginning Aug. 27 and continuing through the official store opening, the retailer will operate a pop-up store at the Westfield Garden State Plaza. The pop-up, designed to resemble a futuristic cube, will be located at the food court.
