Vera Wang Opens Bridal Boutique in Japan
July 11, 2012
Vera Wang has opened its first freestanding bridal store in Japan. Located in the Ginza neighborhood, the 1,355-sq.-ft. boutique is part of a global expansion for the bridal design giant, which recently opened boutiques in London, Moscow, Sydney and Seoul. According to WWD, the boutique is fully booked with appointments for the first month, and carries Wang’s full range of more than 40 gowns, as well as several red gowns specifically designed for the Asian market, as Asian brides often incorporate a red element into their wedding look. The design is sleek and modern, with concrete floors, charcoal-gray walls and blackened steel accents. The company is planning to open more stores this year in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City, Singapore and Monterrey, Mexico.
