Wawa to Open Five Florida Stores

Media, Pa.-based Wawa Inc. opened its first-ever Tampa Bay, Fla., store on Feb. 8, according to CSPnet.com. The location is the first of five stores that the grocer plans to open in the area during the next five weeks. Last year, Wawa officially made its debut in Florida, opening of six stores in the greater-Orlando area, and eventually opened two additional stores for a total of eight in the market. In 2013, the company will open 10 stores in Tampa and 15 stores in Orlando, projecting that it will open 100 stores in these two markets during the next five years.
