Zumiez Acquires European Action Sports Retailer

Everett, Wash.-based Inc. has signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Blue Tomato, an Austria-based European action sports retailer. The acquisition is projected to close prior to the end of the second quarter of 2012. Blue Tomato operates one of Europe's largest action sports e-commerce websites, www.blue-tomato.com. Additionally, the company operates five stores in Austria.
